Peppercorns come from the pepper vine, native to Asia. Green peppercorns are the unripe berries, Black peppercorns are sun-ripened green berries and white have the outer skin removed - giving a mild taste. Add whole or ground to most savoury dishes, sauces, dressings, marinades or pickles.
