Spearmint is perhaps the most commonly used of the many varieties of mint. Grown world-wide, this common garden mint is used in sauces, drinks; with potatoes, peas, other grains and vegetables. It's often used as garnish, and in many Middle Eastern dishes (eg Tabouleh). Very good as a 'tonic' tea.
