Travelling from the North It really doesn't matter which Junction you take off the motorway - the Meadowhall one is quite straightforward. You need to follow the signs to Town Centre or
Chesterfield and the A61. You'll come into town at the Parkway roundabout.
You'll need to be in either of the left hand lanes You'll go under a railway bridge, then past a large shop front called "Ponsfords" on your left. Next to look out for, on your right, after another 300-400 yards is a big yellow retail DIY place [called Lavers]. Directly opposite this is Valley Road - there's an off license called "Swiggys" on the corner. Turn left on to Valley Road, first left into Arthington Street at the end of the block of flats and then second left into Whiting Street. We are the entire left hand side of Whiting Street.
Travelling from the South Take Junction 29 from the M1 and take the A617 to Chesterfield. Go through Chesterfield taking the A61 to Sheffield. On reaching Sheffield, carry straight on over the two roundabouts and continue owards the City centre using Chesterfield Road. You will drop down a long hill [look out for the speed cameras] which levels out at Woodseats (lots of shops on either side). Go through Woodseats and through the lights at the brow of the hill [Homebase on the right] before dropping down another long hill. Near the bottom of this hill, after the garage on your right, you will see a small retail park with Currys, Matalan etc. to your left. On your right about 200 yards further is Valley Road [opposite Arnold Lavers retail DIY place] - look for Swiggys off license on the corner of Valley Road. Turn right on to Valley Road, first left into Arthington Street at the end of the block of flats and then second left into Whiting Street. We are the entire left hand side of Whiting Street. There should be bodies about but give us a call if you have any problems. |
